The London Schools Athletic Association (LSAA) supports school athletics across the capital, working through a network of twelve London boroughs. Our aim is to help young people access high-quality opportunities to take part in athletics, develop confidence, and represent their school in structured competition.
The LSAA’s borough-led approach keeps participation local and straightforward. Each borough has a borough organiser who acts as the main contact for schools and colleges in their area, helping to coordinate entries, share information, and support participation. Through this structure, schools and colleges can connect quickly with the right people, understand how events work, and get students involved.
Across the school year, the LSAA delivers and supports a programme of cross country and track & field events, including London-wide championships and inter-borough competition where applicable. These events provide a consistent pathway for athletes to progress from local participation to wider competition, while keeping the focus on fair play, good organisation, and an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Where appropriate, the LSAA also supports the selection and organisation of London representation at national schools’ events, providing a further route for talented athletes to compete at the highest school level.
The LSAA works with teachers, school staff, volunteers, officials, and partner organisations to ensure events are safe, well-run, and accessible. Whether you are a school looking to enter pupils, a teacher seeking guidance, or a student hoping to compete, the best place to start is your borough page, where you can find contact details and a list of member schools and colleges.
To get involved, find your borough and explore upcoming events and entry information across the site.
